SDH review: listen, decide, then caption.
Print this page or use it beside the final video. An editorial aid, not a platform standard.
Establish the source
- Confirm the final video and audio mix.
- Identify the ordinary and SDH tracks correctly.
- Record the receiving profile and any title-specific exceptions.
Review every sound candidate
- Is the event actually audible in this mix?
- Does it affect understanding, action, mood or a character’s response?
- Is the identity or source supported, or would naming it reveal information too soon?
- Is the wording concise and specific without interpreting an unsupported emotion?
- Does the timing follow the audible event while preserving readable dialogue?
Review the experience
- Watch with sound, then read a passage without relying on it.
- Check dialogue, music, effects and speaker cues together.
- Record keep/revise/remove decisions and unresolved questions.
- Retain review-draft status until the responsible reviewer approves.
In the real workspace, a sound candidate and its evidence can be inspected separately from final caption approval.
