Send the file together with its review context.

The next person should be able to identify the master, tracks, revision and unresolved questions without guessing.

Minimum useful context

Record the source video basename, subtitle language and track role, current revision, export format and review state. Chinese-source/English-translation tracks are different from ordinary/SDH tracks. A language suffix helps identify a file, but does not tell the next reviewer what work is still pending.

Make questions actionable

Instead of “check translation,” record the cue number, the decision still needed and the evidence to replay. Keep a term-specific confirmation separate from approval of the whole episode. A file saved successfully or checked mechanically remains a draft when substantive questions are unresolved.

Before transfer

  1. Confirm the exact master and revision.
  2. Export each requested track separately.
  3. List open questions and the responsible reviewer.
  4. Include necessary project histories and linked-media instructions.
  5. Open the package as the recipient would.

Use the handoff readiness checklist to expose missing items. It relies on your self-report and never establishes platform approval. The Handoff worksheet is a portable record for this context.
